How Long Till Christmas is designed to be simple, readable, keyboard-friendly, and usable on mobile screens. The site uses semantic headings, descriptive image text, visible focus styles, reduced-motion handling, and a skip link to the main content.
Motion and visual effects
The snowfall is decorative and can be switched off with the Snow button. Visitors who use reduced-motion settings should see less animation by default. Decorative effects should never be required to understand the countdown or guide pages.
Keyboard and screen readers
The main navigation, More menu, cookie controls, share links, lightbox images, planner checkboxes, and planner controls should be reachable by keyboard. Images that add meaning have alt text, while decorative images are hidden from assistive technology.
Known limitations
Some pages contain tables because dates are easiest to compare in rows. They are kept narrow and simple, but very small screens may still require careful reading. The printable planner uses ordinary browser printing, so print-preview controls depend on your browser and operating system.
Report a problem
If something is difficult to read, navigate, print, or understand, email [email protected] with the page URL, device, browser, and a short description of the problem.
